Vehicle Description

Aston Martin V8 Vantage S 4.7 (430bhp) – Manual – 2 Door Coupe

There are some cars that are simply owned… and then there are cars that are lived with, cherished, and looked after as if they were part of the family. This Aston Martin V8 Vantage S is very much the latter.

I purchased the car from a lady I know personally, and its history is as genuine as it is special. She bought the car brand new, sight unseen, having it delivered directly from Stratstone Aston Martin, 618 Western Avenue, London, W3 0TE. She hadn’t even set eyes on it before committing, but she knew immediately it was the one. It was the car she had dreamed of owning for years — an ambition fulfilled and a personal milestone.

From the very first day, the car was treated exactly as you’d hope a true enthusiast’s Aston Martin would be. Serviced and MOT’d by Aston Martin every year without fail, it was always maintained to the highest standard, never cutting corners. It was even regularly valeted and professionally cared for, with Lanoguard applied to the underside by Aston Martin for long-term protection and preservation.

The car was most commonly enjoyed on Sundays, used for her regular trips down to West Wales with her husband. On returning, it was always stored dry and safely kept in her garage. This is a vehicle that has never been neglected, never abused, and never treated as “just a car.”

All service records and supporting receipts are complete, with the most recent service carried out in February 2026, ensuring it is fully up to date and ready to be enjoyed immediately.

A Rare Aston for the True Driver

The V8 Vantage S represents one of the finest driver-focused Astons ever produced. The combination of the 4.7 litre V8, producing 430bhp, paired with a manual gearbox in right-hand drive form is exceptionally rare and increasingly sought after.

It is widely believed that fewer than 150 RHD manual V8 Vantage S 4.7 models were ever produced, making this a true collector-grade example for those who understand what they are looking at.

The “S” model was originally marketed heavily with the Sportshift II automated transmission, meaning the manual gearbox became a later, far less common option — a true “purist” specification, especially desirable in the UK and other RHD markets such as Japan and Australia.

Engineering That Deserves Respect

The Vantage S is far more than a badge upgrade. Compared to the standard Vantage, power was increased to 430bhp and 490Nm (361 lb-ft) through improvements to intake airflow and the addition of a valved exhaust system that stays open longer, delivering sharper breathing, stronger performance, and a more addictive soundtrack.

Although based on the Jaguar AJ-V8 architecture, Aston Martin’s 4.7 is essentially a bespoke engine, featuring unique cylinder heads, crankshaft, and pistons — engineered with Aston’s unmistakable character and refinement.

This engine is also packed with genuine motorsport-derived detail, including:

* Dry Sump Lubrication – a race-car feature rarely seen in road cars, preventing oil starvation under hard cornering and allowing the engine to sit lower in the chassis for improved balance and centre of gravity.
* Pressed Cylinder Liners – enabling thinner cylinder walls and a larger 91mm bore without compromising structural integrity.
* Hand-Built Integrity – each engine was assembled at the Aston Martin Engine Plant (AMEP) in Cologne, Germany, often finished with a plaque bearing the name of the final inspector.

A Car With a Story – and a Future

This Vantage S is not only a stunning piece of Aston Martin engineering, but also a car with a genuine and rare provenance. It has been cared for properly, stored correctly, maintained religiously, and owned by someone who truly valued what it represented.

It offers the type of ownership experience that is becoming harder and harder to find: a naturally aspirated V8, a manual gearbox, and a specification that appeals to those who want the purest possible Aston Martin driving experience.

Quite simply, this is a special car — with the history, condition, rarity and story to match.
